I am a compliance professional with fifteen years of experience leading and working with public and private K-12 schools, colleges, and universities throughout the country.
My Practice
My practice is focused on helping schools and workplaces meet their compliance obligations and implement practices and policies that foster more compliant, productive, and equitable environments.

The compliance work includes: helping organizations properly investigate and respond to allegations of misconduct; writing policies and procedures; conducting training; providing coaching, support, and advice for leadership, HR, equity compliance offices, and campus in-house lawyers; providing interim compliance coverage; and serving as a campus hearing officer and mediator.

Lastly, I help organizations with their hiring practices and support their effective and compliant selection processes. ​

I am practical and collaborative.

I've been there. I established, led, and supported equity and HR offices at several academic institutions, both as an internal employee and a consultant. As a result, I have an understanding not only of law and policy, but how to work with the various campus constituencies, including human resources, trustees, administration, faculty, students, and campus police.
I've done the work. Over the past fifteen years, I have conducted or overseen hundreds of investigations, conducted hearings, served as an advisor, written and revised policies, trained thousands of students and employees on policies and laws, and strengthened and overseen hiring processes.

I've seen results. Using my legal, human resources, and compliance experience, I have designed and improved practices, policies, and programs that improve employee engagement, strengthen organizational culture, and facilitate compliance.
